The Cloud Computing Solutions Architect is responsible for technical leadership and delivery in cloud computing offerings and engagements in Belgium, aligned to the Global and local strategy in this domain (www.trustedcloudservices.com).

The architect supports the development of enterprise cloud strategies and all of the cloud analysis, design, and implementation phases. The architect must have strong problem solving abilities, must be able to work both at high and low levels of detail, have excellent communication skills and have experience successfully leading and managing complex projects.

Additionally, the Cloud Computing Architect assists in the development and execution of go-to-market strategy, and the ongoing identification development, progression and closing of cloud computing opportunities.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead cloud computing strategy and roadmap development from a technical perspective including identification of potential obstacles and solutions regarding the use of cloud computing in a client environment;
• Apply a consultative approach to determine where and how the various emerging solutions of cloud computing should be implemented;
• Define and lead proof of concepts and pilots to support the use of cloud computing;
• Lead detailed analysis of workloads to identify and prioritize cloud candidates;
• Develop and build cloud solutions with CSC cloud offerings and best of breed market offerings;
• Lead migrations of existing workloads to cloud implementations;
• Establish technical architecture for client’s cloud environment that addresses security, reliability, availability, capacity, latency, and other non-functional concerns;
• Train, motivate and mentor other consultants in utilizing and delivering cloud solutions.

Profile:

• Proven track record with a minimum of 10 years in software and/or solution architect experience, with strong architectural background in data centers, networking, virtualization, and service management;
• Experience or strong interest in Cloud Solutions;
• Knowledge of the competitive landscape is an asset;
• Strong foundation in Virtualization & Service Management;
• Strong operational background/experience in development/Test/Compute);
• Proven track record in managing complex projects;
• Ability to present CSC Cloud strategy and solutions to business and IT executives;
• Ability to drive architectural discussions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS,BPaaS);
• Ability to identify right opportunities to pursue, build solution across multiple brands, qualify and engage appropriate CSC resources from wherever;
• Flexible, continuous learner and knowledge sharer, excellent communicator, works well in team environment, appreciates challenge, comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving;
• Master Degree or equivalent experience;
• You are fluent in English, French and Dutch.
